This project was my submission for the Dog’s Bollocks Student Awards competition. The purpose of my brief was to persuade children to be creative with type. I found that design is often not taught to young children, however it can encourage creativity, whilst also supporting those who learn best through kinaesthetic methods.
I have designed an activity book for young school children, with the aim to get them exploring typography. Not only does this enhance creative skills but it also supports their academic learning. The book takes children through the alphabet and gives them the opportunity to copy, draw, colour and experiment with a range of typography styles.
